The flavor allowance rises with the count
This is free and it is the most underused feature of the whole menu. Ordering one flavor across a 30-piece box when you were entitled to three is the most common ordering mistake people make here.

How many wings per person
For one adult as a full meal with fries, six to eight classic wings is enough. Ten is substantial. Anyone ordering fifteen for themselves is planning leftovers, and wings are among the worse foods to reheat.
For boneless, subtract about two. A boneless piece is more food than a classic wing at the same count because there is no bone displacing meat — eight boneless is closer to ten classic in practice.
For a group, work on six to eight wings a head if there are sides and ten if there are not. Thirty covers four people comfortably; fifty covers six to eight; the 100-piece is a party order rather than a dinner one.

The combos versus by the piece
A 10-piece boneless by the piece is $8.39. The small 6-piece combo is $9.49 — more money for four fewer wings, because the combo is charging you for fries and a drink.
That is not a criticism of the combo. If you want the fries and the drink, it is priced sensibly and it is the easiest way to order. But if you are eating at home and already have both, by the piece is clearly better value.
Where the combos win is the small end. There is no by-the-piece count below ten, so if you genuinely only want six wings, the combo is the only route to them.
