Ordering for the First Time — What to Know

Ordering for the First Time — What to Know

The menu looks more complicated than it is. There are really only three decisions — format, count and flavour — and a handful of free requests almost nobody knows to make.

Here is the whole thing in one page.

Decision one: bone-in or boneless

Classic wings are actual chicken wings — skin on, bone in. Boneless are breaded pieces of breast meat, despite the name.

Order classic if you want the better-tasting wing: skin holds sauce and dry rub far better than breading does, and the meat stays moister. Order boneless if you want convenience, are eating in a car, or are feeding children.

Classic is also lower in calories at every count, which surprises everyone. A 10-piece bone-in is 700 calories against 800 boneless.

Decision two: how many

Six to eight classic wings is a meal for one adult with a side. Ten is substantial. For boneless, take about two fewer — a boneless piece is more food than a wing at the same count.

The 6-piece combo at $9.49 is the easiest first order: wings, fries, a dip and a drink. But note that a 10-piece boneless by the piece is $8.39 — four more wings for less money, because the combo is charging for the fries and drink.

For a group, six to eight wings a head if there are sides.

Decision three: which flavour

Start with Lemon Pepper. It is the best-seller, it has almost no heat, and it is a dry rub so the skin stays crisp. If you order one thing on a first visit, order this.

The other best-seller is Garlic Parmesan — buttery, cheesy, no heat, and rich enough that ten feel like more than ten.

For heat, Original Hot is the classic buffalo profile and a safe middle. Atomic is genuinely hot and should be one flavour of a split rather than a whole box.

The four free requests

Split your flavours. Every count above six lets you take two or more at no cost. A 10-piece as two fives is the best possible first order — you find out what you like in one visit.

Ask for extra crispy. A longer fry, firmer skin, and a wing that survives the drive home. Free, routine, and almost nobody asks.

Sauce on the side if the food is travelling. Free, keeps the coating crisp, and you control how much goes on.

Order an extra dip. At $1.49 it is the cheapest line on the menu, and running out with six wings left is the most common small regret here.

What to expect when you arrive

Everything is cooked to order, so there is a genuine wait — usually fifteen to twenty minutes at a busy time. That is why the food is better than it needs to be, and it is why ordering ahead through the app is worth doing.

The dip is not optional if you are ordering anything hot. Dairy binds capsaicin in a way a cold drink does not.

And take the veggie sticks. At $1.59 and 40 calories, celery between wings resets your palate and makes the last few as good as the first.

Frequently asked

What should I order on my first visit?

A 10-piece bone-in split between Lemon Pepper and Original Hot, with a ranch and veggie sticks. That covers a dry rub, a wet sauce and both textures.

How long does it take?

Fifteen to twenty minutes at a busy time — everything is fried to order. Ordering ahead through the app removes the wait.

Do I have to pick just one flavour?

No. Every count above six includes a free flavour allowance — two up to 10 pieces, three at 30.
